INFO-684: Museum Information Management: Collection Cataloging and Digital Technology: In this course, students will learn to manage a museum's most important information source: its collection information. Students will learn the functions of collection management systems, how to catalog cultural objects by applying descriptive metadata standards and best practices, and explore the potential for creating new access points to museum collections through digital tools.

I used Omeka to create a small collection of items from various digital libraries to look at the history of hand knitting prior to the invention of machine knitting. This project required me to create my own methodology and cataloging for the small collection which proved interesting as controlled vocabularies did not exist for my cataloging needs.
